Top 10 Best Kenmore Refrigerator Water Filter in 2020

The water that we drink travels miles underground through a channel of pipes before reaching our taps. Somewhere along the way, it may collect harmful bacteria and compounds or even metals like lead from an old pipe system or simply wastes from humans, animals, and industries. The preceding may pose a risk and make our water at times unsafe to consume. However, to be sure that the water around your home is safe for drinking, you can install a whole house filtration system. Alternatively, due to cost and convenience, you can simply acquire a water dispenser to serve your needs.

The precedent has occasioned refrigerator manufacturers to equip their products with water filtration mechanism whereby one can dispense clean and safe drinking water. Such are Whirlpool water filter intended for a whirlpool refrigerator and Kenmore refrigerator water filter among several other brands. There are several water filters available in the market. Perhaps the most crucial point to note is that all refrigerators that have a water filter have a designed matching exact filter prototype. For instance, though under the same brand, Kenmore fridge water filter may differ depending on the model of the product. Such a disparity is visible, however, on Kenmore elite refrigerator water filter and Kenmore coldspot water filter among several other designs on offer.

Therefore, the Kenmore water filter replacement process should commence by identifying the type of water filter for your fridge. It can be done by confirming the make or the model number on the old filter and using these details to help acquire the right filter. It is advisable to do a replacement at least every six months. But it can come earlier than that depending on how frequent or regular it is in use. Remember that different water filters require different techniques when removing. The method of removal largely depends on the type of filter in the fridge, as is demonstrated below.

You can remove this type of water filter by merely disconnecting both ends. However, you need to ensure that there is no running water while carrying out the procedure.
  2. Push-in fridge water filter: They are inbuilt and fitted into a section generally under the grill at the bottom front, or the upper interior on the right. To remove this filter, use the push to eject button or simply twist and pull to slide.
